My extra career life

Recently, I participated in a community service project sponsored and organized by school. I did pull weeds, pick up litters and some clean up. I did this get some benefit from the community. First, I appreciate the spirit of team. working with classmates and teachers are warm to me. we helped each other, we take care each other, even sharing each other. one thing suprised me that I saw many children they did things as us. They are maybe 12 yeas old, but they joined as volunteers, it is almost their intesets, they did pick up litters and tidy others' yard. I can see they really enjoy this process. But some of our students, they even look effemination than children. It makes me admire those kids. I was shocked by them. Another thing that I remember so clear that I got a stomach ache that day. I felt so bad, even like died, then a person who work in the community, she helped me and took me to her house, let me use her restroom and prepare hot water for me, I was touched by her manner, I was taken care by a people I do not know, I felt so warm. If I am in China, maybe nobody can help me, although they help me, they can not do things like this people. So I think American are friendly. I told this thing to my mother, she also think it make people touched. At that day, I learned a lot, I tried my best to help. I was so glad that I gave my new drinks to driver, because I learn from the people who helped me that we should take care each other, even though they are not our relatives. I think this experience make me gain a lot. One is how important the spirit of team and take care each other. So I hope I can join these jobs as much as I can, and try my best in the future. Thanks school giving me this chance. This is my thinking of my first experience of my extra career life.

30 Days-immigration

From this website http://www.hulu.com/watch/56908/30-days-immigration. I learned a lot from it. It talks about the life of the illegal immigrations and related policies, the United States have many immigrants, many illegal immigrants. Most of them come from Mexico and Central America. In the United States border, there are many people patrol the border to prevent people from illegally entering the United States. Today in America, one position of the immigration debate is that this illegal immigration should be allowed to be citizens, because these people can engage in low-level jobs that Americans do not want to do the work, they can afford more labor and to reduce these people's suffering and trouble. Another position is that illegal immigrations should be round up to deported because they can bring pressure and some disasters. Some people bring drugs to the United States, resulting in unnecessary trouble. In this show, there is a person called Frank George, he is a immigration from Cuba, his father brought his family when he was 7 in 1957. He wants no illegal immigration in America. He is a Minuteman, the Minutemen means that people take members of using their own hands to protect the border and country that stop as many mistakes as they can. They take guns with them that to monitor the border of Mexico and the United States on whether someone wants to illegally enter the United States, if they find， they will call police immediately. In show, there is a family called Gonzalez family, there are 7 members, they came to the United States 12 years ago illegally. They come from Mexico. At the beginning, frank insisted the idea of deporting all illegal immigrants, he visited one of the family called Gonzalez，by 30 days live with them， he changed the idea of illegal immigrants, because the mother in this family's parents died, but she cannot see them last time, so Frank decided to have a trip to Mexico, he found the family living environment is worse than the life in American, he understood the reason why they come to the United States. Armida is the biggest daughter in this family, she is currently attending a local University with hopes of eventually raising the money for tuition at the college of her choice, she can give hope to her family that solve problems. And the reform of immigration will be changed in the future. Based on what I saw in this show, I this problems with being strict with undocumented workers are doing lower-level jobs, they have no guarantee about their life, they worry about the police will deport them back to their counties. In my opinion, I think America should accept illegally immigrations and give them chance to live in America and to be a citizen. Because they can afford labor and help to build completely America. They can apply for being a American, they can by the way of their offerings, experiences, skills that help them to find a good job. I think this also is a way to reduce illegally immigrations

Republicans and Democrats

It is talking about the difference between Republicans and Democrats, there are some aspects of differences. First, they have different believes. Republicans Believe that America was founded on the fundamental principle that personals have rights and freedoms that cannot be infringed .But Democrats Believe that they retain the right to freedom of religious expression and others rights. Republicans Believe that your property is belong to your and you have rights to make use of it without unreasonable government restrictions. Democrats Believe the government has the right to control the use of private property in small special interests without giving money back to belongers.

From the website, I know that Republicans believe that there can be differences of opinion and differences such result in opponents, not enemies, but Democrats believes that all people whom oppose them, should be treated as enemies.
This two webiste illustrated the same things, they talked about the specific differences between them， and let us know the differences in easy way.
After I read the two websites, I think I prefer Republicans, because it tends to a peaceful life, they always care about people's life. According to the opinion about Republicans, you can know that their believes all depend on our life, so I prefer Republicans.

My view of studying in America

I arrived in the United States for 48 days, and now, I am a student who study in the St. louis university for 41 days. I have strong feelings about the culture diversity between America and China. There are some aspects can appear this differences.
First, there are big differences in education. In China, students study in school, they should call teacher, they can not call teachers; name, because they think it is impolite. But in America, students can call teachers' name, they think that is a way for teachers and students to become friends. Yeah~! I agree with that, because when we call teachers'name, we won't get nervous and serious. Then I think In China, if teachers make mistakes in the classroom, students can not point out the mistakes directly, it's also view as impolite, but in the United States, no, students can do that, they think people always make mistakes,and make mistakes can help people make progresses. Here, kids study in kindergarden, they can not study acdamic knowledge, they think kindergarden is a place that let kids have fun. I think it is not a good way to teach kids. In China, kindergarden is let kids study and have fun.Comparing kids in two different countries, In America, children have higher hand-making skills than Chinese kids, however, Chinese kids have higher calculation skills than American kids. This is quite difference.
Second, I think although in China, there is a small part of immigrants, America is a country that set up by immigrants, people from Europe is occupied the higher percentage here.
Third, I think is different beliefs, many people are protestants, and there are also some parts of people they belief Moslism. In China, many people belief Buddhism, and parts of people are belief Moslism and Jesuit. Because they belief different beliefs, they are influenced by these. Such as habitats.
Fourth, I think are different values such as individual freedom and self-reliance. In China, when kids grow up at the age of 18, they still live with parents, they spend parents' money, and depend on them such as me. I still do that.But here, when you get 18 years old, you should live by yourselves. So students here all have more strong skills and abilities than Chinese kids.
Fifth, I think is different technology, everybody knows that America has strong technique in science, so they become a developed country.But China is still a developing country. Because when I come here, there are many novelty things that I never seen in China, (or maybe it has, just I never seen it.)
To sum up, Tell the truth, I think although they have big differences, I am happniess and lucky that I study in America.

Folk Hero

Today, I talk about Folk Hero, Folk Hero always played an important role in the history. They are formal, but they are great, because they sacrificed a lot, even their lives.
In every country, they have their own Folk Hero. In America, I know a man who is folk hero in America, his name is Davy Crockett. David Crockett (August 17, 1786 – March 6, 1836) was a celebrated 19th-century American folk hero, and people also named Davy Crockett and often by the epithet “King of the Wild Frontier.” He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives served in the Texas Revolutions and died at the Battle of the Alamo. In China, There are many different kinds of folk heroes, he was Wong Fei Hung. He is a person who influenced China until now. He could use Kung Fu Remix, when he alive, he helped many people escape the control of bad guys. So many people viewed him as hero at that time. Since that, he is a hero in every Chinese heart. People start to learn Kung Fu Remix because of him. Wong was a master of "Hung Fist". He systematized the predominant style of "Hung Fist" and choreographed its version of the famous "Tiger Crane Paired Form Fist", which incorporates his "Ten Special Fist" techniques. After I read their information, I know although they both heroes, but they have different goals, they borned in different year. And they were good at different things. They also have similar things is that they helped people, they were viewed as hero in people’s heart. They didn’t mind sacrifice their lives, they both hope have a better life. Tell the truth, I like Wong Fei Hung, because I know more about him, he was a good and great person, I really proud of him. More than just he was good at Kung Fu, and I like his personality, he was kind. But I am always affect by folk heroes, because they took us many special and meaningful memorizes.

Religion

I am a Mogolian, so my families and I are influenced by Buddhism. We belief one group of Buddhism is Tibetan Buddhism. All of Mogolian belief it, and treat it holiness. Every family has one or many buddha's pictures. Buddhism is important for us, because it influence our daily life. We attend religious services in some festivals. For example, in Spring Festival, in the first night of Spring Festival, my parents used to let my brother and I worship my grandmother who dead, and turn all lights on one night. My grandparents are traditional people who belief Buddhism. So every morning, they prepare the first cup of tea for buddha, and pray everynight. We think that it can bless us have a nice day. In other words, we do some special things both depend on the rule of Buddihsm.

_ In my pinion, I think American Dream is every Americans' life and dream. They probably have same goal and it has special meaning that can encourage every people do best for themselves. That is why the American Dream is vital for everybody.
